加加減減 Have a question or 2 regarding ruger's warranty on their firearms. is it a lifetime warranty or for a specific number of years. does the warranty follow the firearm or does it apply only to the original purchaser?? the firearms i am specifically interested in are the sr1911 and the gp100. "tell me, why should i keep this gp100, return it to ruger for service, and/or keep it or any of the other ruger firearms i possess?" *i understand the cash issue but only you can justify the cost. add a photo and some more data and history to see if anyone has any advice. anyway, i wish you luck and hope it works out for you.

So i heard ruger’s numbers were down the last quarter and to help out i’m wanting to purchase something new. the mayodan, north carolina factory opened in 2014. i was born and raised in the state. what better way to show some pride right? and from what i understand the ruger american rimfire. Until this week, every time i looked up a serial number, ruger's web site presented me with a table (list) of a models' numbers and approximate date of manufacture. they've changed that. now i'm shown a field to enter the serial number and the web site comes back with the model number, a photo. This is one of the reasons traditional firms like s&w, ruger, et al push polymer framed firearms so much most times these platforms are built around being assembled by less than professionally skilled gunsmiths more product in less time. revolvers require fitting, which does not allow so much for the time over money equation.

On february 20, 2016 my ffl dealer sent my sr1911 45 cmd lightweight pistol for inspection and repairs to davidsons. since then no word from ruger or davidson about the whereabouts of my pistol which is the average time for getting some response from them, by anyone experience, sending a gun. I am starting to think ruger is relying on their customer service department to cover for their quality control decline. the revolver shoots well but gosh where is the quality control? this isn't my first ruger but it may be my last or am i now expecting too much quality from a brand new ruger? i hope not. Ruger seems to generally make fine, quality firearms for the masses and their follow up to problems and customer issues is well known. i've been very pleased with the way ruger handled the two separate issues i've had with their products. and that's the reason i am confident in buying their firearms.
