10x12 Modern Work Shed - Part 1 - The Foundation The 120 sq ft limit is not really applicable to the height issue. the 120 sq ft generally refers to the floor space, say for a 10' wide x 12' deep shed. for example, a 10x12 shed with an 8' high ceiling or a 20' high ceiling is still 120sq ft. the 8' high shed would be allowed in most cities, but the 20' high one would not. so contact your city.
