Pomona college ecoreps is a student branch of the pomona sustainability office, functioning as a sustainability hub for the 5c community and beyond. the ecoreps promote everyday sustainability through gift giving and eating, offering free and reusable period products, hosting composting workshops and facilitating spaces such as the walker flea. The college has continued to make key strides in sustainability, with goals by 2030 to reach carbon neutrality and reduce its energy emissions 50 percent. since 2014 pomona has reduced its water use 45 percent, diverted waste at a rate of 52 percent. Serving as the director of sustainability and energy management office at pomona college, i lead a team of 75 students to facilitate a strong culture of sustainability on campus and work.
