Athleticsafrica Amplifying The Voices Of African Athletes National council of sports (ncs), on tuesday afternoon, received the athletics team that took part in the recently concluded africa youth championship in abidjan, ivory coast. the team was received at lugogo by ncs’ bernard ogwel and head of technical committee andrew soroweni with members of the fourth estate available. Team uganda safely landed at entebbe international airport monday evening to a warm welcome from officials and supporters after a stellar performance at the caa africa u18 u20 athletics championships held in nigeria from july 16–20. Team uganda was flagged off at an cooper chimney lugogo, on monday, 21st july by dr. bernard patrick ogwel who was chief guest. the flag off ceremony was attended by athletes, coaches, officials and parents.
