Lesson 1: self portrait – basic features overview students will use their observation skills to begin drawing a self portrait. The student will draw a self portrait, date it and put it away to use as a comparison for improvement at the end of the year. This hands on art lesson is print and go and includes a full workbook that guides your students through learning facial features, practicing drawing skills, and designing their own exaggerated self portrait caricature. Students will draw their faces using a pencil onto their s1a paper, reiterating what they learned about self portraiture. they measure their eyes, nose, mouth and ears to create proportionate faces.
