Queensland is a huge state it's around 668,000 square miles / 1,731,000 sq kms. that's bigger than texas and over 13 times the size of england! the flooding has affected half our state! it's being called a disaster of biblical proportions causing an estimated $5 billion damage. Several areas in western queensland have recorded their worst flooding in 50 years after days of heavy rainfall engorged rivers and forced residents to evacuate.
