Trinity Youtube The countdown. the silence. the blast.the trinity test scene from oppenheimer is nothing short of historic… and haunting.watch oppenheimer, now on netflix.wa. Manhattan project scientists used 52 cameras used to capture the trinity test, the world’s first nuclear test, on film. Just a note: the trinity test didn't use rapatronic, it used what was known as fastax. they hadn't invented rapatronic yet. fastax was 10,000 fps. if rapatronic could run continuously rather than as single images, it would be more like 100 million fps (it had precision down to 10 nanoseconds). The atomic heritage foundation is pleased to present a new series of videos of the trinity test, courtesy of the trinity remembered website. these videos include: manhattan project scientists, including harry daghlian, j. robert oppenheimer, and louis slotin, moving the gadget’s plutonium core.
