In this introductory, beginner friendly four week class you will learn the basics of throwing pottery on the wheel. we will cover basic studio use, preparing clay, centering, pulling cylinders, trimming pieces, firing, and glazing. By the end of this class, you will have finished pieces to take home! *one 25 pound of clay is included in the class fee. students should bring their own pottery tools (kits are available for purchase at the newberry arts center), a towel, an apron or old shirt, and a notebook for taking notes.
