Premium Photo A Black History Month Celebration Art Exhibit The edison arts foundation is excited to once again partner with the city of missouri city to celebrate its 10th annual missouri city black history month celebration. founded in 2015 alongside the late councilman don smith; the annual missouri city black history month long celebration recognizes and celebrates the achievements and advancements. Missouri city, texas (february 29, 2024) missouri city brought the community together through education and art during black history month! the city, in partnership with the edison arts foundation, hosted seven events throughout february. authors, artists, and wine exhibit; jazz night out; master dance class; trip to the piano lesson stage play. In honor of black history month, edison arts foundation has curated an outstanding evening showcase featuring a variety of houston dance companies, studios, schools, and local artists for the purpose of uniting, celebrating each other, and using the art of dance as icebreakers for deeper conversations. For black history month, we share 10 exhibitions and installations featuring contributions african americans and members of the black diaspora have made to art, culture, and social justice.
