We are the preeminent not for profit children’s mental health agency on long island, dedicated to restoring and strengthening the emotional well being of children (birth age 24) and their families. We are proud to serve anyone ages 3 to 99. no matter if you are a child, teen, or adult; an individual or a family our doors are open to you. during your first session, a qualified staff member will conduct a basic assessment as part of your intake. this may include psychiatric evaluation. Our team will assess if the situation is urgent and will arrange an appointment to see the child within 24 to 48 hours. our goal is to strengthen, stabilize, and support. Each of the guidance center’s three sites (roslyn heights, manhasset and westbury) offers mental health services for children from birth through 24 and their families.
