I Have Too Many Versions Of The Same Albums, Help : R/Cd_collectors
I Have Too Many Versions Of The Same Albums, Help : R/Cd_collectors I like the new deluxe edition cds. hopefully all their albums will get that treatment. that would be a fun thing to collect. I am a cd seller but as such i often feel overwhelmed, if not inadequate, when i try to list a cd and match it to its correct version. unless i am missing something, just about every cd will have multiple listings for what appear to be the exact same version.
I Have Too Many Versions Of The Same Albums, Help : R/Cd_collectors
I Have Too Many Versions Of The Same Albums, Help : R/Cd_collectors I have many albums in different versions (download flac, cd rip, vinyl bonus mp3, qobuz, tidal) and it never mixed up versions for me. but i’ve used roon for about 4 years, so if there was an earlier problem i might not know. In the same way, if i have multiple versions (such as remasterings) of the same album, i'd put the mastering information in square brackets after the album's name. As long as all the other album details are the same they will appear together under a single album cover, with all the different versions included. also handy is that you can click on the grouping header to select just those tracks, so it would be easy to play just the version you want. I already have 1 of every single remastered version of his studio albums on cd, but i'm currently working on a pre remastered (some use the sparse code aad) collection for his cds.

Not with records, but i have found myself the owner of multiple versions of blondie's "autoamerican" cd (plus one vinyl version) in an effort to get a cd version of the album version of 'rapture' with full dynamics. I have multiple versions of a lot of my albums. i think my record is 8 for blackpink’s born pink: all 4 member versions and the black, pink, white and kit versions. I have 2 versions of eric carr's rockology so far (there aren't many to begin with) because of the notes his friends and family left in the albums. i'm planning to get the new version that's coming out in november too. What are your thoughts on collecting different versions of the same album? i've always just collected the best (to me) version of an album that i could find, but i now find myself in a conundrum. i'm at the point where i have multiple "special" pressings of the same album.
