Backed by 20 years of research, lena grow focuses on the key marker of quality in early childhood education: teacher child interactions. or, what lena calls “conversational turns.”. Your child wears a lena device to measure the back and forth interactions between adults and your child. the data from the lena day produces a parent report that shows you how many words your child hears throughout the day and how many conversational turns adult caregivers had with that child. In this video, stacy petty, director of the rocky mountain early childhood council, describes how lena grow helps early childhood educators reach each and every child in their care. Lena grow puts that same technology directly into the hands of early childhood educators. after a full day of talk is captured by the lena device, the audio files are transferred to a cloud processing system that uses complex algorithms to analyze the audio file.
