Lincoln Mark Viii Fan Wiring Ford Mustang Forums Corral Net Mustang I just wired in the 4 wire lincoln fan into my '89 5.0 this week, 2 high speed wires (orange w black tracer), 1 low speed wire (blue) and one ground wire (black). i also work at carquest and wired in a 77528 fan kit, dialed in @ 180 degrees. I am putting a mark viii fan that i bought off of corral in my fox. i have searched, found all kinds of results, and been using this site for my install: electric fan conversion using the notorious lincoln mark viii fan fordmuscle.

Sold Lincoln Mark Viii Fan With Overflow Mustang Forums At Stangnet I bought a "mark viii" fan two years ago for my ls3 280z at the recommendation of a friend and he wired up two 40 or 50 amp relays to run it at full speed. last year i took it to a shop that does wiring to hook up my hid headlights. I'm reading all kinds of info on the net, anyone have any suggestions how i should hook up my cooling fan in my mustang with a 93 lincoln 4.6 dohc? i'm using a stock radiator and fan from the mark viii and i'm not sure if i need to hook it up with the two speed, only on low, only on high and how. I got the ford racing waterneck (p n m 8592 b302 ) and a temp sensor from a 1984 1992 lincoln mk vii. the temp switch then fits into the waterneck 3 8 npt and opens at 198, closes at 189. forgot to mention that i got the temp switch from checkers. Mainly because the mk viii fan draws about a 100 amps during start up, and 42 (?) amps at 14.4 (?) volts when running, and a maxi should handle the start up spike without blowing out. i'm not a professional car guy, but here's an idea, which perhaps the pros can comment on.

I just installed a mark viii fan on my 86' but the fuse keeps blowing when the fan comes on. so here is the setup: mark viii electric fan spal pwm controller w spal thermostat i wired everything as per spal's instructions. I ordered a mark viii fan and i am planning the wiring before starting the install. my research has me conflicted. the install "how to" write ups for the mark viii fan i came across recommend using a 30 amp fuse and 30 amp relay. Hi, i will be using a lincoln mark viii fan in my 65 coupe. there are 3 wires going to the fan connector, a positve, negative, and one in the middle. im not sure what the middle wire is for. rpm sensor? does anyone know?. Ok, i've got my hands on a nice shiny new lincoln mark viii fan here, and my major question is what do i use to control it? i was looking at a few fan install pages and couldn't find anything clear cut. so, if you have a lincoln fan, how are you controlling it? i like anything fast enough to do something stupid in.
