New Instructional Coaches Steve Barkley This week i was asked to join the #educoach chat on twitter (wednesdays at 9 pm central) to be part of a conversation concerning starting out as a new coach. here is some of the initial thinking as i gathered my thoughts: the tweets are archived here. During the past three plus decades, steve has worked with educators internationally to build programs that focus on educator growth for student growth. steve is the author of quality teaching in a culture of coaching and instructional coaching with the end in mind.

When i first started out studying instructional coaching, one of the first books i read was steve barkley’s quality teaching in a culture of coaching. soon after i read steve’s book, i was honored to be asked to be a part of a video course on coaching along with steve and joellen killion.
