New Roof Issue | DIYnot Forums I got a new roof at the front part and i have noticed that some of the tiles are raised compared to the others so you can see a little gap under them. is this normal or is this standard and nothing to worry about?. I recently got a new torch down and i also wonder it was installed right, and the inspector is coming too. am curious how everything turned out for your roof. write your reply.

New Roof Issue | DIYnot Forums I realized late in the game that i'm more familiar with buying news cars than buying a new roof, so most of this is new to me. i called the manufacturer tech rep and asked what would happen if there was more ridge ventilation than soffit/eaves ventilation. Hi, currently having a new roof installed and they have found rotten timbers and some structural issues. they have done the front side already which also had issues and have asked for an additional 1k to cover the extra work and materials involved with changing some of the timber and adding some insulation. the front side took 3 days in total. Hello, i recently had my roof replaced a couple weeks ago due to a hail damage claim. it was a complete tear off and a new roof was installed. the work was completed on 8/5/2014. the crew was 3 guys (instead of 7) and it took them 2 days and over 15 hours to complete the roof. Hi, i'm in the process of getting an old roof redone in natural slate and am curious as to your opinion on its progress. it's not complete yet, with ridge tiling being the most obvious, but also the porch area.

Hi, i'm in the process of getting an old roof redone in natural slate and am curious as to your opinion on its progress. it's not complete yet, with ridge tiling being the most obvious, but also the porch area. Due to hail damage, i recently had my roof replaced. upon completion, i noticed a strange issue on multiple sides that definitely did not exist previously, as i reviewed pictures of the house before the new roof. I'd like to get a second opinion on how big an issue it is to fix a few tiles or whether i'd need some extensive work it's proving difficult to my original roofer back from last year who put edge caps on the entire roof. Hi, there can be two issues: 1. the felt appears to be lifting from the lead flashing, and the lead itself seems improperly positioned. 2. there's exposed bitumen (selvedge), which should be covered by mineral granules. both issues could lead to water ingress. it's advisable to contact with roofing contractor to address these concerns promptly.
