Parnassus Heights Space Ucsf More than 120 years ago, ucsf opened its first building on a donated site overlooking golden gate park. today parnassus heights is home to world renowned research, a top ranked medical center, and leading educational programs in the health professions. After gaining widespread philanthropic, civic, and community support that enabled the development of the 60 acre mission bay campus, there is broad consensus within the ucsf community to now focus on parnassus heights.

Parnassus Heights Revitalization Ucsf Magazine Uc san francisco has received approval to move forward with a new research and academic building at parnassus heights, creating a vital collaborative space to drive innovations in scientific research and education. The parnassus central campus site improvements project, lovingly referred to as pccsi, will transform the parnassus heights campus by significantly expanding the campus core open space. the design prioritizes accessible circulation and creates welcoming and healing spaces. Ucsf and the city and county of san francisco have a memorandum of understanding outlining a set of community benefits to accompany our comprehensive parnassus heights plan. the mou includes commitments to transportation, open space, affordable housing, workforce development, and behavioral health. The combination of the overall growth on the parnassus heights campus, ongoing unmet space needs, and the ambitious plans in the cphp has highlighted space challenges for both health and campus leadership.
