Peer Collaboration In The Classroom - Evidence Based Education
Peer Collaboration In The Classroom - Evidence Based Education This course provides an evidence based overview for teachers to explore how and why a supportive environment helps both teachers and students, and what great teachers do to create it. Specifically, we hypothesized stronger effects for cooperative learning on peer relatedness, perceptions of academic support, and engagement in learning among students of color.
Effective Teacher Collaboration - Evidence Based Education
Effective Teacher Collaboration - Evidence Based Education Work on peer tutoring, cooperative learning and peer collaboration, including studies outside the socio cultural tradition, such as the work of piaget and the neo piagetians. although recognising the significance of the literature on peer tutoring and cooperative learning, our focus in this chapter is on peer collaboration. Findings extend theoretical considerations by teasing apart the processes through which children learn from peer interactions and offer practical implications for the effective use of peer interaction techniques in the classroom. The shift towards collaborative teaching and learning techniques has been pioneered in the last few years, gaining considerable attention and being at the forefront of research. This collection of articles explores the multifaceted nature of collaboration in education, providing a range of practical strategies, frameworks, and tools that address systemic, classroom, and relational aspects of collaboration.
