Of the almost 15.5 million refugee children worldwide, more than half are not in school, with significant additional challenges for girls, children with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups. By establishing multi year plans, providing longer term financing, scaling up what works and learning from experiences in the region, it is possible to reach 1 million refugee children with education over the next two years. But we cannot do this on our own. in order to maintain and accelerate progress on refugee inclusion, we are calling on all actors to join forces to focus action in line with the five accelerators for refugee inclusion identified by unicef and unhcr.
