In honor of mental health awareness month, i want to open up about a few lessons i’ve learned about my own well being in the hopes that it can encourage you to take small steps to put your own well being first. because prioritizing our mental health is about so much more than feeling good. Guiding Principles - Mental Health Recovery In honor of mental health awareness month, i want to open up about a few lessons i’ve learned about my own well being in the hopes that it can encourage you to take small steps to put your own well being first. because prioritizing our mental health is about so much more than feeling good. By sharing my experiences and connecting with others who understood my pain, i found the strength to keep moving forward. through this journey, i've learned invaluable lessons that have. 8 lessons on what i’ve learned about mental health thus far. i’ll break it up into two sections: confidence and mindset. 1. practice self affirmations. call yourself good looking, you. Recovery isn’t without hardship and problems, but i’m always okay. you can choose to live in addictive behaviors – fear, anger, obsession, escapism – or you can choose recovery and deal with the issues you’re trying to avoid or escape. These are some of the most valuable lessons i’ve learned in recovery so far. i still have lots of room to improve, but i’m happier and healthier than ever before. i may have made some mistakes along the way, but i’ve allowed myself to grow from them rather than be set back.
