Houston area opportunities for undergraduate student training in obesity & nutrition (houston) academy 2.0, is a 12 month interprofessional training program for undergraduate students who are interested in a health care profession. The nourish program, in partnership with avocados – love one today, presented on nutrition considerations for cardiometabolic health, offering practical tips and strategies and tools for applying this information in patient care. With a vision of ‘seed to plate to prevention’, the nourish program allows public health and dietetic students to learn about every aspect of food, including organic gardening, culinary nutrition, and medical nutrition therapy. After completing her undergraduate degree in nutrition and dietetics from the university of texas at austin, she continued on to complete her masters in public health and dietetic internship at the university of texas health science center at houston school of public health.
