I have owned a few of these plow trucks and never had any issues. most of the dodges sit up high so you have plenty of radiator exposed when runnin with the blade a couple inches off the road. When he plows everything works great, but when he has to get on the highway to go to the next job his truck thermostat almost redlines it. we know that this is probably the plow blocking the wind to the radiator but we were wondering if there are any solutions to this. I have smaller trucks (japs) that heat up with the plow on but they are gas jobs which operate at higher combustion temps. i have put electrical fans on some of them to help keep them cool. It was probably only about 40 degrees out but i have seen alot of people with their plows on so i was wondering what i can do to keep it from overheating? is it just too warm out right now for it?.
