By spotlighting ongoing advocacy efforts and offering insights into upcoming developments and initiatives, attendees will be equipped to engage in discussions about advancing the rights, interests, and professional development opportunities for peer support specialists within naadac and beyond. Following more than six years of participatory action activities at peer support workforce conferences, three researchers and practitioners with lived experience, jeremy reuling, rita cronise, and jessica wolf, have developed an action agenda identifying ten critical peer support workforce priorities with specific recommendations for action. Doors to wellbeing (d2w), a program of the copeland center for wellness and recovery, is dedicated to peer led initiatives and training supporting the peer support workforce. As the peer profession continues to grow, the workforce exhibits a need for leadership development amongst these peers. this 1 hour webinar will explore skills necessary to provide supportive, empathetic, and psychologically safe leadership within the peer profession.
