This update is to bring you up to speed with where we are with our business plan and give you an idea how well we are competing in north edinburgh. as some of you will be aware we are not connected to the north edinburgh news (the nen) and that has caused us some issues along the way. Restoration work on edinburgh’s historic north bridge is set to finish almost five years later than originally planned. the 19th century bridge, which links the capital’s old and new towns, has been subject to partial closures since 2018 as plans to repair and replace the concrete central deck got under way. Edinburgh’s new town, located in the northern half of scotland’s capital, is a stunning mix of architecture and history. designed in the 18th century, the new town sits in striking contrast to the medieval charm of the old town and features many of the city’s top attractions. “alongside the existing line between the airport and newhaven, a granton to bioquarter tram service would also improve transport links to four priority investment zones identified in the city plan 2030 – waterfront, west edinburgh, city centre, and south east edinburgh – connecting major development sites, employment centres, retail hubs. The first, towards west edinburgh 2050, is an overarching strategic vision which we’re using as a starting point for discussion and this project covers quite a large area from the current western.
