[YCH] .: Harvest YCH :. {Open} By KappeeArts On DeviantArt Hi! it is my first time doing ych (your character here) commissions, and i would like to know what rules you commonly put up with these ychs for your buyers? moreover, i also have some specific questions: is the sketch supposed to be followed explicitly? for example, if the ych character is originally thin framed (skinny), but the seller's oc is bulky. do i draw them as thin framed or bulky in. Unpopular take: your character here (ych) commissions are the worst thing to happen to furry art and should be phased out in favor of your character doing this here (ycdth) as a compromise.

"ych" is abbreviation for "your character here", a pre rendered, pre posed piece of artwork that only needs the smallest amount of detail to place the commissioner's character into the action. with the majority of the details already done and decided, the artist only, really needs focus on the commissioned part. however they lack any amount of detail or pose arrangement a more free form piece. So if you draw a mannequin jumping happily in the air surrounded by confetti, the "ych" part means that your client is paying you to draw their character/oc in that pose. there is limited customization, and you could hypothetically use the same sketch/pic for multiple commissions.
