Animated GIF – Illustrating Data Hello, so, it’s been bugging me quite a lot. when i add gifs containing transparent backgrounds, it is fine when it is edit mode. but when i start the slideshow, there is a coloured background in place of transparency. i am using mx linux and am using the backports version. i thought it was a genuine libreoffice bug and had posted a bug in bugzilla. i had later on downloaded the deb file of. I have an animated gif file which works like a movie. can i include it in an impress presentation ?.

Hey guys using libre 7.0.4 4 deb11u8 on debian bullseye. when i insert>image and browse to my gif and select it. a black box where the image should be is displayed in the editor. if i run the slide show, the image (and it’s animated frames) displays fine. whats even more odd, if i rotate the image, it displays fine in edit mode. but it’s rotated ~15 degrees. undo rotation, back to a black. I have animated gifs in my impress document. the animations are lost when exporting to html. (yes, even if i specify “gif” in the html export “save graphics as”.) curiously gif animations are shown fine on screen in lo 4.0, even in editing mode (more than powerpoint manages…). how do i circumvent this problem? the conversion is otherwise pretty good but this is a “show stopper. How can i vertically stack text in libreoffice writer it can be done in libreoffice calc see animated gif below but i can’t find a way to do it in writer? i made another animation of what writer creates but it’s not the same as the one in calc. I want to add numbers in columns. i have tried =sum and get #### or err509. someone indicated i should use the sigme symbol, but i can’t find it. can you tell me where to find it?.
